TikTok Shop is a social commerce platform where sellers list products directly in videos, live streams, and profile showcases. Sellers must apply via the TikTok Seller Center, submit documentation, and link a bank account.

Most sales will occur on TikTok Shop, which is it’s own marketplace similar to Amazon. Instead of this marketplace being search driven, the product discovery happens through video content led by influencers we call Affiliate.

You need at least one product to launch, though 5 is recommended, and the maximum is 2,000.

Products appear via video product links and on your TikTok profile’s storefront, though visibility may vary by user region. There are three ways customers find you on TikTok Shop – Affiliate shoppable videos, brand driven content you produce or pay for which is promoted through a shoppable video and through TikTok Shop’s own marketplace directly.

No — you can use organic videos to promote products. Paid options such as GMV Max ads are available to boost reach and are encouraged.

Initially low, fees increased from 4% to 8%, TikTok may also charge per-transaction fees.

Sign-up is free, but commissions and transaction fees apply. Sellers must meet certain regional and quality requirements.
