TikTok Shop Update · October 2026
As of October 9, 2026, TikTok Shop’s creator outreach limits are based on creator tier rather than a single weekly invite cap. Shops can now contact Bronze and Silver creators without limits, while Gold, Platinum, and top-tier creators each have their own weekly outreach allowance.
For new sellers, that is a big deal. The $2,000 affiliate GMV milestone that used to unlock serious outreach volume no longer blocks access to rising creators. The catch is that TikTok is switching shops over one at a time, so your shop may or may not be on the new rules yet.
What are the new TikTok Shop creator outreach limits?
The new TikTok Shop creator outreach limits give every creator level a separate weekly cap, based on your shop’s trailing 30-day GMV tier. TikTok Shop Academy confirms the gradual rollout began October 9, 2026.
The key points sellers should know:
- Bronze and Silver creators are uncapped on shops that have migrated.
- Gold, Platinum, and Pearl to Diamond creators each have a weekly limit.
- High-performing shops earn bonus outreach the following week.
- Limits reset every Sunday at 12 PM (GMT-7), and unused spots expire.
- A 200-per-day cap on new invitations still applies.
Old system vs new system: how creator invites changed
Under the old system, TikTok gave each shop one invite number per week. It did not matter whether you messaged a brand-new creator or a top seller. Every invite pulled from the same pool, and the pool only grew as affiliate GMV grew.
Here is how the two systems compare:
| Old system | New system | |
| Weekly allowance | One shared count for every creator | A separate count for each creator level |
| What sets it | Trailing 30-day affiliate GMV | Trailing 30-day GMV tier |
| Starting point | One-time pack of 1,000 invites | One-time welcome pack of up to 1,000 creators |
| Under $2,000 affiliate GMV | 2,000 invites per week | Bronze and Silver uncapped |
| $2,000 to $50,000 | 7,000 invites per week | Higher levels capped by tier |
| Over $50,000 | Uncapped | Bonus tiers can unlock unlimited outreach |
The 2K gate
That jump from 2,000 to 7,000 weekly invites is what sellers call the TikTok Shop 2K gate. Most launch plans were built around crossing it fast. On the new system, that milestone matters far less for reaching smaller creators.
How creator levels map to your weekly allowance

TikTok sorts creators into levels using its Creator Badge program, based on each creator’s own monthly GMV. Your shop then gets a weekly cap for each level. The Bullseye Sellers team pulled the base caps below from a live Seller Center for a shop in the “up to $12,500” GMV tier.
| Creator level | Badge | Creator’s monthly GMV | Base weekly cap (up to $12,500 tier) |
| Lv.0 | Bronze | $0 to $1,000 | Unlimited |
| Lv.1 | Silver | $1,000 to $5,000 | Unlimited |
| Lv.2 | Gold | $5,000 to $25,000 | 500 |
| Lv.3 | Platinum | $25,000 to $60,000 | 200 |
| Lv.4 to Lv.7 | Pearl to Diamond | Over $60,000 | 100 (shared across all four) |
Your own caps can differ. They depend on your GMV tier, so treat these as a reference point rather than a guarantee.
What “unlimited” really means for a new shop
Unlimited outreach applies to creators selling under $5,000 a month. Those creators rarely deliver a single viral hit, but they post consistently and often convert well in niche categories. TikTok’s own guidance suggests pairing a small group of higher-tier creators with a wide base of rising ones.
How to earn bonus outreach every week
TikTok rewards shops whose invitations actually turn into content. If your shop lands in the top 20% of its GMV tier for outreach effectiveness, you unlock extra outreach for the following week. Effectiveness is measured over a rolling 14-day window and refreshed every Sunday.
Bonus outreach by creator level and GMV tier, from the same Seller Center:
| Creator level | $0 tier | Up to $12,500 | $12,500 to $25,000 | $25,000 to $65,000 | Over $65,000 |
| Gold | +300 | +500 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Platinum | +100 | +300 | +400 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Pearl to Diamond | +60 | +200 | +300 | +400 | Unlimited |

The takeaway is simple. Sending more invites is no longer the goal. Sending invites to creators who will actually post is what grows your allowance.
Outreach that doesn’t use a spot
Not every message counts against your caps. Per TikTok’s in-product rules, creators you are already connected with are exempt. That includes any creator who:
- Messaged your shop first
- Replied to one of your messages or invitations
- Added your product to their showcase or a video
A target invitation and a follow-up message to the same creator in the same week also count as one spot, not two.

How Bullseye Sellers turns more outreach into more GMV
More access only helps if creators say yes. At Bullseye Sellers, we see it across every launch: creators pick products that already look like winners. Weak hooks, thin product pages, or a low commission rate will cost you acceptances, and now they will cost you bonus outreach too.
Our TikTok Shop management service is built to raise that invite-to-post rate. The Bullseye Sellers team handles:
- Creator matching. We target creators whose audiences already buy in your category.
- Commission strategy. Open and targeted collaboration rates are set so top-tier creators prioritize your product.
- Sample seeding. A steady flow of samples keeps content volume consistent week to week.
- Product page optimization. Titles, images, bundles, and pricing are tuned to convert creator traffic.
- GMV Max scaling. Winning creator videos get paid amplification once they prove they convert.
Bullseye Sellers has engaged more than 100,000 affiliate creators across 75 active growth brands, with an average cold-start escape of four months. One toy brand passed $1 million in monthly GMV with zero initial ad spend, driven by structured affiliate recruitment.
How Sellico helps new shops get creators to say yes
Creators are more likely to accept invites for products that already have sales and reviews. Sellico, a Bullseye Sellers partner, helps new shops build that proof during the cold-start window.
Sellico’s Launchpad program offers:
- Real sales history from verified US and Canadian shoppers through standard TikTok Shop checkout.
- Early social proof. Sellico data shows 20% to 40% of shoppers leave an FTC-disclosed review.
- Faster probation progress through added order volume.
Sellico’s free AI strategist, Quantum, can also help you decide which creator levels to prioritize each week.
Is your shop on the new system? A 20-second check
You can confirm which creator outreach system your shop uses in Seller Center in under a minute. Go to Affiliate, then Creator outreach. You can also find your quota under Collaborations > Target Collaborations.
What you see tells you which rules apply:
A single remaining invite number
You are still on the old system.
A breakdown by creator level
Your shop has migrated.
Recheck regularly. One shop the Bullseye Sellers team manages switched over within the past week with no notice.
Why the rollout feels random
Shops migrated, out of about 200 reviewed by Bullseye Sellers
TikTok has not said how it picks which shops move first. When Bullseye Sellers reviewed a book of about 200 shops, roughly one in four had migrated. The split did not track GMV, shop age, category, or probation status, and shops with matching revenue landed on different systems.
That makes planning tricky. Build your launch plan for whichever system you are on today, and be ready to shift strategy the week your shop migrates.
Still on the old system? How to clear the $2K gate without stalling
About three out of four shops are still on the old rules, so the 2K gate still matters for most sellers. Based on what the Bullseye Sellers team sees in managed accounts, these three rules keep sellers from getting stuck:
- Keep affiliate sales flowing after you cross $2,000. Your tier is reviewed every Sunday on a trailing 30-day window, so a sales drop can pull you back to 2,000 weekly invites.
- Count only affiliate-attributed sales. Orders that go straight to your product card do not count. The sale has to come through a creator’s content.
- Aim for about $2,300, not $2,000. Attribution breaks when sessions time out or shoppers switch from app to browser. Losing $100 to $300 of credited GMV is common, and that gap can leave you short for another week.
Don’t scale outreach before you check Negative Feedback Rate
TikTok also rebuilt Voice of Customer (VoC) in September 2026. According to TikTok Shop Academy, each product now has a single Negative Feedback Rate: the share of delivered orders in the last 30 days with a negative review or a quality-related return.
The VoC update changes three things:
- The old Good, Fair, and Poor ratings are gone, along with the VoC Index.
- Feedback is grouped into eight standard themes, such as item not as described, size or fit, and workmanship.
- Each theme links to the specific orders behind it, so problems are easier to trace.
Before you scale
This matters for outreach. More creators bring more orders, and a listing or sizing issue surfaces fast at higher volume. Review Seller Center > Account health > Voice of Customer before you ramp up invitations.
What the outreach change means for your 2027 launch plan
The new TikTok Shop creator outreach limits mainly help shops in their first months. Established sellers doing six figures a month were rarely constrained by invite caps. New shops were, because the 2K gate stood between them and creators at scale.
US TikTok Shop sales in 2025, up 108% year over year (eMarketer)
The opportunity is large. According to eMarketer data cited by Netpeak, US TikTok Shop sales reached $15.82 billion in 2025, up 108% year over year. Kalodata also found affiliate creators drove the majority of GMV in every major European TikTok Shop market in April 2026.
For a new brand, the practical shift is this: spend less energy chasing the $2,000 milestone and more on product page quality, commission structure, and creator fit.

FAQs
TikTok Shop creator outreach limits now assign a weekly cap to each creator level, set by your shop’s trailing 30-day GMV tier. On migrated shops, Bronze and Silver creators are uncapped, while Gold, Platinum, and Pearl to Diamond creators have weekly limits.
The 2K gate was the $2,000 trailing 30-day affiliate GMV threshold on the old system. Crossing it raised a shop’s weekly invites from 2,000 to 7,000. It still applies to shops TikTok has not migrated yet.
TikTok caps new creator invitations at 200 per day, on top of the weekly limits for each creator level.
Weekly limits reset every Sunday at 12 PM (GMT-7). Unused outreach does not roll over to the next week.
TikTok’s guidance conflicts on this. The Academy article references overall shop GMV, while Seller Center’s in-product rules reference GMV from creator collaborations. Until TikTok clarifies, plan around affiliate GMV.
Yes. TikTok confirms that invitations sent through the API or third-party tools draw from the same weekly limits as invitations sent in Seller Center.
